500 Words of Summer

I am watching this in preparation for writing some words of a novel about...explorers...of sorts. The cat is playing with a stuffed squirrel. I am part of a Facebook sort of group. The mission is similar to that of NaNoWriMo but it takes place over the entire summer. People are posting their word count on the page and moving on to the next 500, 1000, 10,000 words. People are writing the stuff they want to write and due to deadlines (self imposed or not) are pushing through their own criticisms because there is no time to dwell on shitty parts. I like that.
